Qualitech + SEWA: Plastic Shredder to Aid in Recycling Plastics
Qualitech manufactured a plastic shredder for SEWA to aid in recycling plastics and turning them into other useful products.
Plastic bottles are a huge bio-hazard in the world today. It is one of the items commonly found clogging waterway and contributing flooding during the rainy season in Trinidad and Tobago. When plastic bottle gets the ocean it becomes a hazard for marine life.
Bottles also take up large volumes of space and this shredder helps turn them to flakes which significantly frees up storage space. The flakes can then be used in injection/compression mounding machines to make items such as clipboards, plastic bar stock etc.
