Qualitech Machining Services Limited (QMS) was founded in 1995 and currently operates in the heart of the Point Lisas Industrial Estate, Trinidad WI. As our name suggests, “Qualitech” is a combination of QUALITY and TECHNOLOGY and this is embedded in everything we do. Qualitech Machining Services Limited is one of the leading mechanical engineering companies in the Caribbean specializing in the manufacture, repair, servicing and support of equipment for all industrial sectors, including but not limited to, the Petrochemical, Manufacturing, Marine, Food and Beverage, Quarrying, Agriculture, Oil exploration and Construction industries.
At Qualitech, we are committed to providing superior quality, exceptional service and advanced technological solutions to all our customers. We place a strong emphasis on the value of health and safety of our employees, while caring for the environment and wellbeing of all stakeholders. Over the years, there has been rapid growth in the industry. As a result, our range of services and partnerships with international companies has expanded over the years in response to customers’ requirements. For example, Qualitech has strategically aligned itself with selected global companies such as Philadelphia Gear for the repair of gearboxes and Metalock for the cold repairs of castings. Other partnerships also include Superbolt, Tri-sen and Ready Buffaloes to name a few.
As part of our company’s philosophy, Qualitech is committed to research, Development and technological innovations to continually enhance efficiency in all our processes. For example, we were the first company to pioneer water jet cutting in the Caribbean Region, cutting up to 10 inch thick solid steel with water. We have a team of well qualified and hands-on experienced Managers and Engineers with many years of field experience to provide fast response and cost effective solutions to our customers’ needs.

Qualitech Machining Services Limited (QMS) has a deep commitment to product and service quality. By keeping abreast of super-efficient processes and technology we leverage our quality management systems to provide the best in service, quality, time and cost.
Qualitech has been awarded with ISO9001 by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance in recognition of our organisation’s Quality System Compliance since 2002. We plan, implement and maintain an efficient and effective quality management system with continuous review and improvements. This ensures that our services and products will satisfy the requirements and expectations of both internal and external customers. Our dedication to Quality Improvement is expressed through our continuous investment in training of new and existing employees.
Quality Assurance is applied to all stages of the production process from initial drawings in pre-production, to verify that specifications and requirements are met during the entire manufacturing process.
Qualitech manufactures and delivers a superior level of quality, in addition to providing a working environment that is conducive to employee motivation and development. All employees have an underlying desire to achieve excellence and have been well trained to use our state of the art equipment.
Our company is also HSE and STOW certified, ensuring health, safety and environment are always considered with the highest priority.
An Example of Quality
We ensure all measuring instruments used are serial numbered and individual calibration logs are maintained for each instrument at regular fixed intervals. Calibrations are traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).
All jobs carried out are subjected to in process and final quality assurance checks against specifications and are guaranteed to be within customers’ specifications. Jobs undertaken are done under our ISO 9001 scheme.

Our Commitment to Technology
Qualitech became a pioneer at the cutting-edge of technology with the introduction of the first water jet cutting machine to the Caribbean region. Other notable achievements include the installation of a state- of- the- art CNC Machining Facility, through which all applications and services are fully computerized. As new technology emerges, we will embrace the most effective, relevant and beneficial to ensure better services and results.

Health Safety Environment Policy
Management ensures the HSE Policy is regularly reviewed and communicated throughout the organization. Qualitech Machining Services Limited is committed to excellence. To this end the company has established a Health, Safety and Environmental Management System, with the following key objectives:
- Identifying hazards and controlling risks.
- Providing safe work conditions and equipment.
- Providing safe handling and transport of harmful substances.
- Maintaining STOW Certification – TT requirements
- Operating in a manner that prevents incidents and safeguards the health and safety of employees, customers, contractors, visitors and the community.
- Ensuring Organization activities minimize damages to the environment.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant environmental, health and safety legislation, Codes of practice, Standards and client HSE requirements.
- Establishing regular HSE communication, consultations and training programs for all staff.
- Maintaining strong lines of communication with customers in order to satisfy their specifications and expectations on all jobs and to obtain customer feedback.
- Ensuring continual improvement of the Safety Management system by focussing on Preventive Actions, taking timely Corrective Actions and regularly setting specific improvement objectives and taking actions to achieve them.
- Provision of the necessary resources for the effective maintenance of the Safety Management System.

1995
First opened our doors at Demerara Drive, Point Lisas Industrial Estate, with 3 machines and 3 employees in a 2000sq ft work space.
1999
Expanded operations to a 4,000 sq ft work facility.
2002
Became ISO 9001 Certified by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited. (Quality Management Certification)
2005
Relocated to a to 35,000 sq ft work facility employing 50+ employees.
2006
Commissioned the first Waterjet system in the Caribbean.
2010
Launched a state of the art CNC Machining and Reverse Engineering Facility.
2013
Secured the first authorised service center in the world for Philadelphia Gear.
2013
Became STOW Certified (Safety) by the Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago.
2014
Launched our Blasting and Coating divisions.
2014
Became the first SKF Certified Pump Rebuilder in Latin America.
2015
Celebrated 20th Anniversary.
2016
Launched construction of our second facility at Pacific Avenue, Point Lisas Industrial Estate.
2017
Full rebranding of Qualitech.
2018
Electrical Motor Repair Division Launch – Built to EASA AR-100 standard: Only 15 companies globally has this certification. We also launch our Engineered Solutions division and Projects division.
2019
Commissioned the first Climate Control Storage Facility for Industrial Equipment in the Caribbean.
2020
Authorised Distributor of Bobcat Light Construction Equipment.
